Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Tallahassee, currently locked in a difficult reelection campaign against Republican Steve Southerland, was one of the heavy-hitters to sign the letter, and has since fought hard for deregulation.

Though independent expenditures opposing Republican Steve Southerland outnumber those supporting him by approximately $545,000, he isn’t having any trouble staying ahead of opponent Rep. Allen Boyd. This week, a mysterious, Democratically aligned PAC added to the pile of opposition.

The New York Times recently reported on the America’s Families First Action Fund, a so-called “Super PAC”  that only recently materialized. (According to the article, Families First talks began sometime in July.)
