State Rep. Mike Weinstein unveils eye-popping new campaign video

State Rep. Mike Weinstein, R-Jacksonville, recently unveiled a campaign video that some YouTube commenters are calling “ridiculous and laughable.” The ad features young people literally singing the politician’s praises in shirts that bear his name. Photos of Weinstein are interspersed with shots of audience members dancing in a fashion reminiscent of a 1980s Bruce Springsteen clip:

According to The Jacksonville Observer, the Weinstein camp spent a pretty penny on the video. Weinstein campaign finance documents show two payments (one for $3,500 last July and another for $2,500 this January) to AKYA Productions, the firm responsible for putting the video together.
